"Blithewold" means "happy woodland" in Old English, a term that aptly describes this beautiful English Country Manor-style mansion, set amidst a horticultural wonderland of rare trees, stone walls, ponds and gardens. Inside, visitors may take self-guided tours, perusing original furnishings from the mansion's inception in the early 1900s and antique items from around the world, and enjoy stunning views of nearby Narragansett Bay. Blithewold lies just below downtown, beside Roger Williams University.

Hours of Operation:

Grounds open daily 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Mansion open mid-Apr - mid-Oct: Wed. - Sun. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
